D.O.A. Flyers

D.O.A. in my opinion is one of the greatest punk bands!  It was DOA’s music that got me into Punk!  Their track “Fuck You” from Bloodied but Unbowed was the very first Hardcore Punk song I had ever heard. I was like 13 at the time and I had never heard any band use lyrics like that in a song, nor did I think it was even legal to do so and the music was so fast, I was so hooked after that!  I’ve been fortunate enough to see DOA twice, once in the 80′s at Traxx, Detroit and a second time in the 90′s within the Shelter @ St. Andrews Hall, Detroit.

It was tough being a punk at those ages back then in suburbia Michigan but thats why it was so special.

Concert Stubs

January 15th, 2011

2010 has been a awesome year for going attending shows! So I have acquired alot of new concert stubs and has started me on a mission to locate my vintage collection of concert stubs with a few that are precious to me. Like my Wendy O’ Williams signed Plasmatics ticket stub, my Lori Barbero signed Babes In Toyland stub, my Kiss Tiger Stadium Reunion Show Stub, My 1st Annual Detroit Kiss Convention Stub, My Nirvana stub and several others (I hope I haven’t misplaced these!).
Of course my stub collection no where near reflects all the shows I have attended. Since I surely have misplaced many of them and most of the great shows didn’t even have stubs. They were simply door cover charge. There have been many in my 25 years of attending shows. It would be near impossible for me to name them all. For example, I know for sure that their are a few local bands that I could not remember the names.

Here are a few of my stubs I have located so far:

FEAR is another great punk band! Been able to see them twice so far, both times at St. Andrews Hall.
